: The research data were collected with the ethical approval of the Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University (TOGÜ) Research Ethics Committee dated 30.10.2025. All participants in the study were over 18 years of age; therefore, parental consent was not required. Research data was collected using an online questionnaire. All participants voluntarily participated in the data collection process. Research data was collected in accordance with the Helsinki Declaration, with the voluntary participation of adult individuals and with the approval of the Ethics Committee. The research data collection link was shared with healthcare professionals using communication tools. Healthcare professionals participating in the research process did so voluntarily. No personal information was requested from participants during the data collection process. Before completing the earthquake literacy scale, healthcare professionals were informed about the research method, methodology, and ethical principles to be observed in the analysis of the collected data. The survey could not be completed without informed consent from the participants. This indicates that informed consent was obtained from all participants in the study. The “Earthquake Literacy Scale” used in the research was developed by the researchers, and its validity and reliability study was published in September 2025. A reference to the relevant article is made in the methods section.
