The Centre for Clinical Expertise at the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) assessed the research proposal and concluded that this research was not subject to the Dutch law for Medical Research Involving Human Subjects (WMO) [ ] or with the EU Clinical Trial Directive (2001/20/EC). Therefore, our study was exempted from seeking further approval from an ethical research committee or institutional review board.Participants actively registered their consent to participate in surveys when they joined the Flycatcher panel.
