: Ethical approval was obtained from the Institutional Review Board of Mae Fah Luang University (EC 25114-18). As no independent ethics committee is available at the township health center where the study was conducted in rural China, administrative approval was obtained from the Xinfeng County Health Commission in China (XFWSJ-00020250425), which is the authority responsible for overseeing all township health centers in the study area. This study was conducted in accordance with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki. Before enrollment, detailed information regarding the aims and procedures of the study was communicated to prospective participants in a comprehensible manner, after which voluntary informed consent was formally obtained. All data collection activities were conducted in secure private rooms to uphold confidentiality, and the procedures adhered to the ethical standards of the Declaration.
