: The study is based on observational data collected by the French Sentinelles Network from participating general practitioners for epidemiological surveillance. This data is anonymised. The study protocol complied with the principles of the Helsinki Declaration. Ethical approval was obtained in 2023 from the French Data Protection Agency (CNIL) (No. 923099) and the French ethical research committee (No. 10474055), in accordance with the French Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Under authorization no. 923,099, the French Data Protection Agency (CNIL) waived the obligation to inform participants individually, provided that only collective information is used and patients are informed via a notice displayed in the offices of participating Sentinelles GPs. This notice explains the network’s objectives, the nature of the data collected and patients’ right to refuse data transmission.
