: The study utilized secondary, de-identified data from the 2022 Global Youth Tobacco Survey (GYTS) conducted under the joint coordination of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Saudi Ministry of Health. Ethical approval for the original survey was obtained from the Saudi Ministry of Health Institutional Review Board (IRB) in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki. All participants provided informed assent, and parental consent was secured prior to data collection. Permission to use and analyze the dataset for this study was granted by the Unit of Biomedical Ethics at King Abdulaziz University Hospital (Reference No 504 − 25).
