Ethics approval and consent to participate: The protocol was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC) (278/2023), the Committee for Ethics, Faculty of Sport of the University of Ljubljana (033 − 2/2025-3) and the Research Ethics Committee of the Technological University of the Shannon (2024/03/06). The Clinical Expertise Centre of the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment, Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, Netherlands, determined that given the nature of the project, approval by an ethical research committee was not necessary.
