Ethics approval and consent to participate: The Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Human Sciences at the University of Bern, Switzerland, approved the study design (Ref: 2023-03-05). Participation in the Active School study required written assent from the students and corresponding consent from their parents. Only students who were physically able to complete the PA assessments at the time of recruitment were eligible to participate. This study was conducted in line with the guidelines of Helsinki declaration for conducting responsible research.
