Ethics approval and consent to participate: The SoNAR-Global project, on which the submitted manuscript is based, followed the ethics declaration as set in the Horizon 2020 Grant Agreement number: 825671.This research itself aimed at synthesising information from the SoNAR-Global project, available publications and third-party community engagement projects. Therefore, a separate ethical approval was not required for this research. (No direct patient or participant data was used in this manuscript).All methods were carried out in accordance with guidelines and regulations defined in the SoNAR-Global Grant Agreement number: 825671. These guidelines include ethics and informed consent regulations for participation in qualitative research validated by the Horizon 2020 ethics commission. Accordingly, all informants of the SoNAR-Global project, including the contributors to this article, gave their consent to participate in this research.The submitted manuscript itself is based on an evaluation of the SoNAR-Global project’s compliance with its own ethics regulations with regards to guarantee fully informed, inclusive and equal participation of all stakeholders involved, as set out in the UNICEF minimum standards and indicators for community engagement (2020).As the article is based on qualitative research (semi-structured interviews) and did not involve experiments on humans, no experimental protocol applies.Informed consent was obtained from all subjects involved in this study, and/or their legal guardian(s).
