Ethics approval and consent to participate: The study was approved by the ethics committee of Makerere University School of Health Sciences research and ethics committee (REC) with approval reference number MAKSHSREC-2025–641. The study was further approved by the Uganda National Council for Science and Technology (UNCST) with reference number HS6784ES. The study was conducted in accordance with the ethical principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki. All participants were informed about the purpose of the study, assured of confidentiality, and provided written consent prior to participation. Participation was voluntary, and respondents could withdraw at any time without consequence.
