Ethics approval and consent to participate: The study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki. Ethical approval was granted by the Kampala International University School of Pharmacy Research Ethics Committee (reference KIU-SOPRC/085/25). All participants received a full explanation of the study’s purpose and procedures and gave written informed consent before enrolment, with interviews subsequently conducted orally in Runyankore as described in Methods; participants were informed of their right to withdraw at any stage without consequence. Interviews were conducted in private settings to protect participants’ comfort and confidentiality, and no identifying information was recorded.
