: This study was conducted according to the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Research (2007, updated 2018). The project, titled “Effect of pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) in reducing mortality rate in patients with chronic respiratory disease” (Project Number: Audit/21/Austin/97), was reviewed and approved by the Austin Health Office for Research. It was determined that this project constitutes a clinical audit and does not require submission to the Austin Health Human Research Ethics Committee. All data were fully anonymized and de-identified prior to analysis to ensure the participants’ privacy and confidentiality.
