Ethics approval and consent to participate: This study was approved by the Ethics Committee of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University (Approval No. K202601-65). Owing to the retrospective nature of the study and the use of de-identified clinical data, the requirement for written informed consent was waived by the Ethics Committee. For the follow-up assessment conducted approximately 1 month after surgery, either at an outpatient visit or by telephone, patients were informed about the administration of the QoL-B bronchiectasis questionnaire, and oral informed consent was obtained prior to participation. Participation was voluntary, and patients were free to decline. All data were anonymized before statistical analysis. This study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki and relevant institutional requirements.
