Ethics approval and consent to participate

: The ethics approval was obtained from the Institutional Review Board of West China Hospital, Sichuan University in Chengdu, China. The patients were informed about the research study and the verbal consent to participant in this study was obtained. The Written informed consent was waived by the Ethics Committee as the samples used in this study were from the inevitably amputated limbs and would do no extra harm to the patients’ interests. The informed and consent procedure about this study was recorded in the preoperative conversation document and stored in the hospital. Consent to publication was not applicable as all patients’ identification information was removed.
