Ethics approval and consent to participate
: The study concept was presented to the local ethics committee of the Medical Ethics Committee of South-West Holland, The Netherlands and received approval (METC-nr: 06–104 Dossier NL14807.098.06/versie 06). This approval included consent to the use of CT scan for the purpose of measuring the quality of the cementing technique in total knee arthroplasty. Written informed consent was obtained from all the participants in this study.
