Ethics approval and consent to participate
: This study was approved by the patients’ ethics committee of the Osteoarthritis Foundation International. The patients’ ethics committee formally approved the survey and the study stating that they believe this research could be an instrument to raise awareness on OA patients’ conditions and needs and they did not consider it could cause no harm to patients.The consent to participate was provided by respondents before taking the survey. The first window of the on-line survey consisted of an information statement and a statement saying “By entering the survey, I indicate that I have read the information provided and agree to participate.”
