: The study is approved by Biomedical Ethics Committee, Peking University International Hospital (2022-KY-0010-01). The trial is registered at chictr.org.cn, identifer ChiCTR2200065316 (02/11/2022) under the name “A real-world study on self-management of chronic diseases and prevention of refracture in elderly patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures”. All patients participating in the prospective study received written and oral information about the trial before signing an informed consent of participation. They were provided with comprehensive details regarding the study objectives, procedures, potential risks, benefits, and their rights as participants. Only after providing their informed consent were the patients enrolled in the study.All methods and procedures carried out in this study were performed in strict accordance with the relevant guidelines and regulations governing experiments involving humans or human interventional studies. The study design, data collection, and participant recruitment followed ethical principles and guidelines as outlined by the management of osteoporosis and the prevention of fragility fractures (SIGN142) from the Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (SIGN).
