: The studies involving human participants were reviewed and approved by Ethics Committee of the Second Hospital of Shanxi Medical University ((2023)YX No (129)). We uploaded Chinese statement regarding ethical approval and informed consent to participate and its English translated file both to supplementary and related file, entitled “Ethics-Document.pdf” and “Ethics-Document English Translation.pdf”. In addition, we have marked the part of the statement that exempts the application for consent in yellow color. The need for approval was waived because this is a retrospective study. We have uploaded the Chinese version of the Ethical Review Measures for Biomedical Research Involving Humans issued by the National Health and Family Planning Commission and its English translation version, entitled “Ethics Official Reference Document.pdf” and “Ethics Official Reference Document English Translation.pdf”. This document is the review document on which the Ethics Committee is based. We have highlighted the terms on which the Ethics Committee relied for exemption from consent requests, which are on page 15 of the English translation and page 8 of the Chinese version.
