Ethics approval and consent to participate

: According to current Italian legislation, the approval of the ethics committee for retrospective observational studies is not required.From March 1, 2012 it is possible to conduct retrospective observational studies without asking the specific consent of the interested parties. It is in fact published by the Guarantor for the protection of personal data (resolution 01 March 2012, Gazzetta Ufficiale n. 72 of 26 March 2012,ExternalRef removed).
