: The study protocol and methods were approved by the Institutional Board of the Italian Unitary Society of Colonproctology. Based on the nature of our study representing a consensus position among experts through the Delphi method, and in compliance with the guidelines specified by Italian law, an independent ethics committee (IEC) approval was not required. The research fall under the category of exempt or non-invasive research, which is not subject to mandatory IEC oversight. However, the anonymity and confidentiality of our panel members throughout the Delphi process were ensured. All participants were provided with clear information about the study’s purpose and procedures, and their voluntary participation was obtained through informed consent. We also ensured strict confidentiality and anonymity during data analysis and result reporting.All methods were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations.
