: This study used anonymized, retrospective data, which is based on a previously established kidney cancer registry, The registry has received ethical approval from the regional research ethics committee of the Pirkanmaa welfare area, Finland (Approval No. ETL R17600). The committee determined that formal ethics approval was not required separately for this study. The study was conducted in compliance with the declaration of Helsinki. This retrospective study was reviewed and approved by the regional research ethics committee of the Pirkanmaa welfare area, Finland (Approval No. ETL R17600).
