: The surveys were answered anonymously. According to Swedish legislation about ethical review of research involving humans (3–4 §§,, Lag [2003:460] om etikprövning av. forskning som avser människor, in Swedish), application to the Swedish Ethical Review Authority (EPM) was not required, as the survey was anonymous and did not contain what the EPM considers as sensitive personal data.The electronic survey included a brief information in the beginning indicating that participation was voluntary and that the responses were collected anonymously. A survey response by the physicians was considered as a consent to participate. The need to obtain other forms of consent from participants was not necessary, according to the EPM as the survey was sent electronically, and the participants answered voluntarily and anonymously.
