: This study was conducted as part of a larger research project approved by the Health Research Ethics Committee of Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi, under protocol number BSUTH/CMAC/HREC/101/V.I/47, dated 21 st January 2019. Ethical conduct was ensured per the principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki. Written informed consent was obtained from all participants before enrolment and data collection. To maintain confidentiality, each participant was assigned a unique identification code, and all clinical data and laboratory results were securely stored in restricted areas throughout the study.
