Ethics approval and consent to participate
: This study was approved by the Ethics Committee of the Chinese Stomatological Association (Approval no.2014–003). Prior to the commencement of the baseline survey and final survey, the researchers had obtained permission from the headmasters of all participating schools, and a written informed consent form was sent to the parents of each migrant child to explain the content of the survey. Each parent returned a signed informed consent form.
