: This multi-centre prospective clinical study has been reported following STROBE (Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology) guidelines. All the procedures were conducted following the principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki as revised in Fortaleza (2013) for investigations with human subjects.The study protocol was submitted (20/05/2021) and approved by the relevant Ethical Committee (Regione Calabria, Comitato Etico Sezione Area Centro, No. 200/2021), and retrospectively recorded in a public register of clinical trials (ExternalRef removed) on 30/11/2022.Participants signed informed consent to participate.
