: RA is a PhD candidate in Dentistry with a Dentomaxillofacial Radiology interest at the University of Aberdeen. AL is RA’s academic supervisor, an Oral Surgery Consultant, an academic Senior Clinical Lecturer and the Postgraduate Research Program Coordinator at the University of Aberdeen. KK is a Professor of Orthodontics and Director of the Institute of Dentistry at the University of Aberdeen. JR is a PI in the Medical Imaging Technologies research theme, with a focus on MRI, at the University of Aberdeen. AA is a Clinical Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at New York University, USA. RS is an Oral Surgery Specialist and Clinical Lecturer at King’s College London, UK. JM is a clinician and researcher with expertise in Oral Surgery at NHS Grampian, UK. The team combines experienced academics, clinicians and researchers in oral surgery and radiology, contributing multidisciplinary expertise to this review.
