: All procedures in this study were conducted following the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals from the National Institutes of Health and was approved by the Animal Care and Use Committee of the University of Tehran. Additionally, the ARRIVE guidelines were considered to perform all experiments in this study. Since the animals were under the legal custody of the municipal shelter, formal permission for their use in this research was obtained from the shelter management. No privately owned animals were involved; therefore, individual owner consent was not required.
