Ethics approval and consent to participate: This study was conducted according to the stipulations of the Helsinki Declaration (2013) and previously approved by the Kasturba Medical College and Kasturba Hospital Institutional Ethics Committee under protocol number (IEC – 742/2020). All teeth were extracted due to questionable prognosis for restorative therapy, orthodontic reasons or refusal to undergo pulpectomy. All patients and/or legal guardians gave their written informed consent for the use of their teeth for research purposes and all primary molar teeth were irreversibly anonymized immediately after extraction.
