: The study was approved by the Regional Committee for Ethical and Health Services (REK) in South East Norway (no.37073) and Swedish Ethical Review Authority (no. 2019–06096 and 2021–02974). The study took place in accordance with ethical guidelines for nursing research in the Nordic countries [CitationRef removed] and the Declaration of Helsinki—Ethical Principles for Medical Research [CitationRef removed]. This means that the participants were informed in writing and verbally about the study, participation was voluntary, and they had the opportunity to withdraw from the study at any time and that data was handled confidentially. All participants provided written informed consent. The participants were also given the opportunity to see a counsellor after the interview if the interview provoked negative reactions and emotions, but no one expressed a need for this.
