: All data handling adhered to EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018 and the University of Bergen regulations for GDPR and safe data handling. According to the national regulations for medical and health research (the Health Research Act of 2008-06-20 no. 44; •• 4a and 4d), ethical approval was deemed unnecessary by the Regional Ethics Committee (REC West). However, approval from the Norwegian Agency for Shared Services in Education and Research was required, as the interviews were recorded (reference number 414708). The study was registered in University of Bergen’s System for Risk and Compliance (ID F2402).
