Ethical approval was obtained from the Clinical Psychology Ethics Committee at the School of Health in Social Science, University of Edinburgh (CLPS054s, 24.06.21). This study also received NHS governance approval via the Integrated Research Application System (IRAS). District nurses received an ‘invitation to participate’ email, which included the participant information sheet, and a link to the online consent form and participant characteristics questionnaire, as approved by the ethics committee.
