: Participants provided informed verbal consent to participate, recorded through written consent forms. Participation in the study was entirely voluntary. Ethical approval was granted by the Health Research Authority (HRA) and NHS REC in the UK on 05/12/2023 ref: 23/WM/0250 (IRAS ID: 322302). The University of Birmingham acted as sponsor. We also obtained local research approval from each site’s research governance committee or equivalent. Data protection and confidentiality procedures were observed. The study was registered at ISRCTN Registry on 29.12.2023 ref: ISRCTN18098027 ().
