Ethics approval is waived off by the Medical Ethical Committee East Netherlands (file number 2021–13396) since the study is not subject to the Medical Research Involving Human Subjects Act. The study comprised of interviews with patients and primary family caregivers about their social wellbeing. Written consent for participation was gained prior to the interviews commencing.
