Ethics approval and consent to participate

: Permission to access the 2016 EDHS data was obtained from the DHS program by agreeing with the conditions of DHS data use stated on the DHS consent letter. Ethical clearance to conduct the survey was approved by the Ethical Review Board of Ethiopia Central Statistical Agency (CSA) and written informed consent was taken from study participants. Where participants are children (under 16 years old), written informed consent for participation in the study was obtained from their parent or guardian.
