: Ethical clearance was obtained from Institutional Health Research Ethics Review Committee (IHRERC) of Haramaya University College of health and medical sciences (Reference number: IHRERC/029/2020). Following the approval, official letter of cooperation was written to public hospitals of Jigjiga and Harar town. An official support letter was obtained from the medical directors of the Karamara general hospital, SHY-JURH, Hiwot Fana specialized Haramaya university hospital, and Jugol hospital, and the ART departments as well. Written informed consent from study participants were not feasible. Since this was analysis of secondary data retrieved from the patient cards/database, participant consent was waved by Institutional Health Research Ethics Review Committee (IHRERC) of Haramaya University College of health and medical sciences. All experimental protocols were approved by the ethics committee stated above. Each hospital’s management and ethics committee also judged the project as health research with no ethical risk. Besides, no personal identifiers were used on the data collection form. The authors confirm that all methods were performed in accordance with the relevant guidelines and regulations.
