: This study was based on publicly available data from the Demographic Health Survey and did not involve direct interaction with participants. The ICF Institutional Review Board (IRB) has reviewed and approved procedures and questionnaires for standard DHS surveys. Ethical clearance was received from Queen’s University HSREB (REH-793-21) and the University of Gondar IRB for this study.
: This study was based on publicly available data from the Demographic Health Survey and did not involve direct interaction with participants. Before collecting data for the EDHS, the respondents were informed about the study and given the option to participate or decline. The data analyzed in this study was collected from women between the ages of 18 and 49 who were able to give their informed consent according to DHS procedures.
