: Ethical clearance was obtained from the Ethical Review Committee of the School of Midwifery under formal delegation given from the Institutional Review Board of the University of Gondar with a reference number MIDW/30/2015 E.C. A formal letter of administrative approval was obtained from each selected health facility.Oral informed consent was obtained from each study subject, and each respondent was informed about the objective of the study. For participants who are not able to read and write, the informed consent form document prepared in local language (Amharic) read for the participants in presence of third party (close family member) and Informed consent was obtained after the participants and the third party were fully understood.Participants were involved in the study after complete consent obtained. Study participants who did not willing to participate in the study were not forced to do so. Privacy and confidentiality of study participants were maintained.
