: Ethical approval of the study was obtained from the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR), Yaba, Lagos. No: NIMR IRB 13<sup>th</sup> April, 2019. The study was conducted following all stipulated ethical protocols and the principles of Good Clinical Practice (GCP). Written informed consent from the women was obtained after the objectives and procedures of the study were carefully explained to each of the potential participants seeking antenatal care at the study centre. All records of the participants’ identity were kept confidential before and during the analysis. Results were made available to the participants as agreed for further consultation with their gynaecologists.
