: This research project has been given an ethical clearance from Research & Ethics Committee of Department of Surgery, School of Medicine, College of Health Sciences, Addis Ababa University as part of a research on “Elective Endocrine and Breast Surgical Procedures: Health-Related Quality of Life Outcomes and Patients’ Experiences: A Mixed Methods Study” (Protocol number: DOS/REC/101/2024/2016; Supplementary file 2). An informed written consent from participants during the interviewer-administered questionnaire and an oral consent during the phone calls were obtained and identifying data of the participants have been held confidential.
