: Ethical clearance was obtained from the Institutional Review Board of Bahir Dar University, College of Health and Medical Sciences under protocol number 3037/2024. Permission letters were also secured from the respective health institutions. The study was carried out in line with the Declaration of Helsinki ( ). Participants were informed that participation was voluntary and that they could withdraw at any stage. Written informed consent was obtained after the study objectives were explained by data collectors. Individuals who tested positive for bacterial vaginosis and aerobic vaginitis were managed according to treatment guidelines.
