: The Full Ethics Review Committee at the University of Ilorin University approved our interviews (approval number: UERC/ASN/2024/2926) on August 08, 2024. The study was conducted in accordance with the National Code of Health Research Ethics, Nigeria (2007). Informed consent of participants was obtained through a formal letter of notification and ethical clearance that was transmitted to the management of each participating primary healthcare centre prior to the start of data collection. All eligible postpartum women were informed about the study objectives, procedures, voluntary nature of participation, right to withdraw at any time without consequences, and confidentiality measures, and their signatures were collected as part of the written individual consent. This was deemed acceptable under the National Code for Health Research Ethics (2007) for minimal-risk, non-invasive community-based surveys conducted in public health studies. All participants were adults aged 18 years and above, and no minor (individuals under 16 years) was involved, thus, no parental or guardian consent was required.
