Ethics approval and consent to participate: This study used secondary data from the Nigeria Demographic and Health Survey (NDHS) 2024, which is publicly available and de-identified. Ethical approval for the NDHS was obtained by the implementing agencies from the National Health Research Ethics Committee of Nigeria (NHREC) and the Institutional Review Board of ICF International.
