Ethics approval and consent to participate: A formal ethical exemption was obtained from the Institutional Review Board of Bahir Dar University because this study involved secondary analysis of publicly available, de-identified EDHS data and did not involve direct contact with study participants. The EDHS individual-level dataset was accessed with permission from the EDHS Program. Personal identifiers were excluded from the dataset to ensure the confidentiality and privacy of participants. Ethical approval for the original EDHS survey was obtained by the implementing organizations and relevant national ethical review committees before data collection.
