: The author is the founder of the Phytomedicine Programme in the Faculty of Veterinary Science at the University of Pretoria and c. 50 MSc and 50 PhD students graduated under his supervision leading to > 315 publications in peer reviewed scientific journals. He is a member of several Editorial Boards where he had to evaluate many manuscripts in this field.
