Ethics approval and consent to participate

: Ethical approval for the study was granted by the Ghana Health Service Ethics Review Committee in March 2017 (Protocol Number GHS-ERC: 125/02/17). Permission was sought from the Greater Accra Regional and District Directors of Health Services, and the management team of LEKMA Hospital. The purpose and scope of the study were explained to eligible patients. Study participants were taken through a consenting process and all their questions answered. All who consented signed a written informed consent document before being part of the study. Only those who consented to take part in the study were interviewed.
