: Before entering the questionnaire, an information letter appeared informing members of the user panel about the overall aim of the study as well as the purpose and content of the survey. The study participants were informed that they could withdraw from the study at any time and for any reason. Informed consent was obtained from all participants. They had to check” I agree to participate” in order to continue to the survey. The survey did not include identifying information (name, birth date, residential address) of the participants. NCS may; however, link the answers to the basic information they have on the panel members, but no identifying data were available to the researchers. The study was conducted according to the Declaration of Helsinki [], and the guidelines of the NCS user panel.Approval of the study was applied for with the Regional Committees for Medical and Health Research Ethics (REK 272059). They decided that the study would not provide new knowledge about health and disease, and was therefore not considered health research in Norway; it did not need of approval from The Regional Committees for Medical and Health Research Ethics according to the following guidelines:“<b>Examples of activities that do not require approval from REC:</b><i>Use of other anonymous information and</i><i><u>assessments of health conditions</u></i><i>. Anonymous information means information in which names, personal identification numbers and other unique characteristics are removed so that data can no longer be linked to an individual (section 2 of the Health Registry Act)</i> [, ]”.Approval was therefore applied for and granted by the Norwegian Centre for Research Data (NSD) 660,552.
