: Plant material that was collected comply with the IUCN Policy Statement on Research Involving Species at Risk of Extinction and the Convention on the Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora. It followed the ethical guideline for plants. The plant material (voucher specimen number: 2019-09-20-002) was collected from the wild in Tonghua (Jilin Province, China), and identified as the dried rhizome of <i>D. nipponica</i> by Prof. Jiamei Qin of Tonghua Normal University and deposited at the Herbarium of Tonghua Normal University (Tonghua, China). We have permission to collect <i>D. nipponica</i> under the authorization of National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
