: Animal care and experimental procedures performed in this study were approved by the Animal Ethics Committee of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Iran (IR.TUMS.SPH.REC.1399.214). All protocols in this study were performed in accordance with the relevant guidelines and regulations for using animals, in compliance with the Animal Research: Reporting of In Vivo Experiments (ARRIVE) guidelines.The taxonomic identification of the plant substance was confirmed by the Herbarium Unit of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran using a deposition specimen holder (L.Family: composite 7119-TEH). The IR.TUMS.SPH.REC.1399.214 approved the experimental research and field studies on plants, including the Artemisia Absinthium, and they adhered to the relevant institutional, national, and international guidelines and legislation.
