: The collection of plant followed relevant guidelines and regulations outlined in the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Policy Statement on Research Involving Species at Risk of Extinction, the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES) of Wild Fauna and Flora. All animal studies were performed humanely and consistent with the Guidelines for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals [], and the National Research Council Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals []. Approval for the study was obtained from the Landmark University Research Ethical Review Committee (LUAC/BCH/2023/0002A). Consent to participate was not applicable. The study was reported in accordance with the Animal Research: Reporting of In Vivo Experiments (ARRIVE) guidelines 2.0 [].
