: This study was approved by the Institutional Review Board of Kyung Hee University Korean Medicine Hospital (KOMCIRB 2020–09-005). Any changes to a previously approved protocol require IRB approval. This study was conducted in accordance with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki, and all patients provided informed consent prior to enrollment. The principal investigator or sub-investigators, who are doctors or Korean medicine doctors delegated by the principal investigator, will conduct face-to face interview with each subject to explain all aspects of the study, including its purpose, methodology, potential side effects, and safety protocols. Subjects will be afforded sufficient time and opportunity to ask questions about the study and to decide whether to participate voluntarily. Written consent for study participation will be obtained from the principal investigator or sub-investigators. Informational materials for participants aged 65 and older will be provided in larger print and explained slowly. Hospital staff will be regarded as vulnerable subjects and will be requested to provide handwritten consent on the informed consent form. The results of this clinical trial will be shared publicly at academic conferences and in peer-reviewed journals.
