The clinical isolates used in the study are covered by ethics approvals from the Ethical and Protocol Review Committee of the College of Health Sciences (CHS), University of Ghana (CHS-Et/M.5-P4.5/2021–2022) and the Ghana Health Service (GHS) Ethics Review Committee (GHS-ERC: 005/01/23).
